We are not all good, and we are not all bad.

In this world, it has come to my attention that everybody is okay with others, whether friends, family, relationships, and in some cases; even kids, as long as we are all good.

We are constantly looking for the good, and it is common for many people to say, "I accept your flaws."

We do this without thinking, and the only time we think about it is when people show their true colours, and we suddenly decide that we do not like them anymore.

Sometimes its really minor, petty things like forgetting to put the washing machine on, or leaving dirty socks on the floor, (I admit that is my biggest habit!).

However, while some might see this as minor, others jump on the crackerjack setting unnecessary fireworks off, when all they need to do is ask them politely to pick them up.

Hmmm, if you can ask without treating me like a five year old who wants a chocolate bar, and has been told no, because;

why should I pick it up, if you are going to behave like an errant child yourself?

I remember living with an ex-boyfriend who liked painting models, and he would leave his paint, tools and models scattered all over the lounge. One day, I was putting some clothes on the washing line, and I forgot to hang one, small, t-shirt on the line.

I'm not kidding you, he literally brought the roof down; just like a child being told off by his mum!

He stormed into the bedroom, and refused to come out all day.

There was another day when I left a tiny amount of paper on the floor, and I forgot to pick it up. I have a bad habit of that when I am writing, though I usually remember it is there in the morning.

He decided that I wasn't clean enough for him, and stormed to his dads.

We are talking about a fully grown adult....I think!

Let's bring up some other habits, that people have had a go at me over, though they have done these themselves at times:

  1. I often scatter my CD'S everywhere when listening to music.

  2. I often leave my washing on the floor after bathing

  3. I sometimes forget things I need to do

  4. I don't make the bed every day

  5. Some days I wake in a bad mood.

  6. I get over excited easily.

  7. I often put things in the wrong cupboards.

  8. I can make a mess in seconds.

  9. I have a habit of buying too many books.

  10. I often wear unmatching clothes.

  11. I talk alot.

Not everybody will have the same habits, but I'm confident that some of you will have done these things, or will have some annoying habits yourselves.

We live in an imperfect world, and none of us no matter who we are, was ever born perfect.

As a child I was always told,

"If you do it yourself, then you have no right to preach."

My Grandma said it, and she was right.

Everybody has flaws and habits, but here is a fact:

Not everybody notices them, and not everybody admits them.

When we fall in love, we might know that what we are seeing is what we are getting, but often we are blinded by our strong feelings, and everything seems perfect until the relationship develops, over time. We then see the true colours of the person whom we claim to be in love with, and many decide they are not in love anymore, then they choose to walk away.

But.

What if we give it time?

Maybe we could look past those habits and flaws, and see the good in what we have found, and maybe we might realize that love has more power than negativity.

Of course we have our likes and dislikes, and we may go on to be just friends because we are not compatible in that way.

However, this does not mean the person is horrible or unlikable. It means that the relationship was not for us.

Everybody has habits, so when you judge another person as being all bad for their habits, think about this;

Are you completely perfect?
