Are you Depressed?

"Before you diagnose yourself with depression or low self-esteem, first make sure that you are not, in fact, just surrounded by a**holes." —@Debihope, Twitter

Depression is Mental turbulence that rips your mind and soul into “bits and pieces”. And people nowadays think that it's just a mental illness just like common cold and flu. And how common does it? One amongst four in a family? I can bet you if you have been ever into depression you must have felt suffocation even in a properly ventilated room. It feels like someone is blocking your windpipe. Sometime you felt anxiety attack also. And it's really difficult to describe depression to someone who’s never been there, they often confuse it with sadness. I know sadness it's different. Sadness is to cry and feel.

“Whenever someone tells me to ‘Just be happy,’ I want to yell, ‘Oh, hey, depression’s gone! Why didn’t I think of that?’ But usually, I just roll my eyes instead.” How many times have you felt that negativity is flowing with your RBC’s? Many a time I guess. In today's era and among Teenagers it is most prevalent. And the reason is today's generation is pretty ill in handling emotional intimidation that life throws towards them. There can be several reasons one is crushed beneath depression. It can be a monetary crisis, career tension, harassment, family issues, and the most common breakup. And you know what is worst than depression? pretending that you are not depressed. There is nothing to cover under the blanket of happiness. Sometimes I think what kind of shitty things people do to cope up with depression. Some people do drugs, some get drunk, some people prefer sitting alone in dark. And they think that this is the way they can deal with depression, Absolutely bullshit. “If you need to take drugs to be free, then you are screwed. Freedom is in mind, otherwise it doesn't exist.” There can be an infinite reason one can go into the tunnel of numbness, but sticking there is not the right thing. There can be no limit of incompetency in people when it comes to connecting with someone on an emotional basis. It can be no surprise people getting isolated, scrolling miles on their mobile phone, uploading depressing pictures and after that, someone will say everything will be fine. This is what people want to hear, isn't it?

And after sometimes comes the thought of a coward, “should I end up my life”. People start thinking about most of the things that will change if they commit suicide. They think that this is the only solution to all my problems. But they don't think about their parents who brought them in this world. If you think practically, the reality is no one is bothered about your life except your mom and dad or your loved ones. You know the main weapon that Depression has is, It disables your cognitive thinking to take the right decision. That's the biggest liability of been soaked up in depression. Take a minute and just think that you are wasting your 60 years of your life, golden 60 years. That won’t be coming back. Ask your self that getting isolated from everyone will do anything?

Life is the most precious thing you have, don't waste it in shitty things. And if some tragedy happens just think logically what is the best thing you can do, look for the things that are in your hand, and don't run behind the things that cant be changed. Like something related to the past. Make your everyday count and do something productive. Just figure out your life like (Professor), love like (Tokyo), be optimistic like (Nairobi), laugh like (Denver), and never get into negative thoughts like (Rio).

Once my mom said to me when I was depressed regarding my career “It took me nine months to build you never let anything break you up in a couple of seconds.”
