There are so many people across the globe who deal with anxiety on a day to day basis. I, myself, deal with anxiety every now and then. And the sad part is that most of us don't even know the main reason for having it. While a nerve-racking incident can cause nearly anyone to have anxiety, there are multiple people who have anxiety out of nowhere. There usually isn't a solid reason for it. It shows up like an unwanted "friend" showing up to your house and wanting to chill. That's how we feel about anxiety, that one friend who does nothing but put you down.

No matter how many times we deal with our frustrating anxiety, there are moments where we just have to laugh it off. Laugh it off and act like it's not bothering us. Reminisce on the ridiculous moments where anxiety literally took control for no reason at all. And frankly, laughing at our anxiety can help us cope with it more. For a good laugh, these are the funniest memes only people with anxiety will understand.

Anxiety basically persuades you into believe anything.

Having anxiety plays a massive role in assuming that something bad will happen. Assume that something will happen about anything and you can't stop it from getting into your thoughts! You try so hard to believe that nothing will happen, no matter how many fuckin' times your anxiety is opposing you.

But then the anxiety gets the best of you and you ride that train. You're riding the train with your anxiety and going wherever it's telling you to go. So when your thoughts are constantly nagging you to believe that something will happen, you eventually give in. But don't allow it!

Blaming Yourself for Having Anxiety

From the memes only people with anxiety will understand, this one is hilarious. We can never promise not to have anxiety. In the midst of getting ready for a party, you promise yourself 200 times that you won't get anxious. And then the worst thing happens—you remember a horrible thing that you said to someone years ago and that person will be at the party.

Boom, instantly feeling anxious. Then you just look in the mirror, completely disappointed in yourself. After the 200 times of telling yourself that you won't feel anxious, your anxiety brings a bad memory into your mind.

Trying to Fit in As Much As Possible Without Your Anxiety Blowing Off Your Cover

I literally love this one, and it cracks me up every time. Among the best memes only people with anxiety will understand, this one is comedy gold. Whenever you're suddenly feeling anxious, it's so easy to feel left out, too. And it's hard to communicate with your group in the midst of being really anxious.

So, you basically end up looking like this half-assed Charmander who's trying his best to fit in with his buddies. Trying to act cool like nothing wrong is going through your head. I feel you Charmander, it's the anxiety, I know.

You're assuming people are constantly talking about you.

Even when you know so damn well that there is no reason for anyone to be talking behind your back while walking by them, your anxiety will make you believe that they are. They laugh and whisper, and you'll instantly think that it's you they're whispering about. But what are they possibly saying about you when you know you did absolutely nothing wrong?

No worries, your anxiety will give you the answer to that. The anxiety will give you a clear explanation for them chuckling behind your back. Maybe there's a rip in your pants? Or your hair looks awful today. You know that they aren't talking about you, so your anxiety can't say shit!

Getting No Sleep At All Because of Anxiety

From the hilarious memes only people with anxiety will understand, Homer Simpson knows how us anxious individuals with lack of sleep are feeling on a daily basis. Anxiety can actually keep you up for hours, possibly days, for no apparent reason. It just likes to keep us up...

But when someone asks if we're feeling okay, because we possibly do look like a mess, all we can do is nod our heads with red, crusty eyes. Anxiety is taking away our beauty sleep right from our hands. However, there are certainly ways to handle anxiety and get your night's worth of sleep.

Just Waiting for the Anxiety to Hit With Full Force

When I say anxiety comes out of nowhere for no fuckin' reason... it does! And this meme literally says it all. You'll simply be lounging around your house and your anxiety starts creeping up behind you, telling you that "something bad is about to happen."

Like what can possible happen right now while you're chilling on the couch? Is a robber going to break into your house? Will the oven in the kitchen explode? Your mind is jumping from one thing to the next all while your anxiety is sitting there like this.

The Most Ironic Thing Ever

Out of the memes only people with anxiety will understand, this pretty much explains my life, as well. Just when you found the perfect stress relief to get rid of your anxiety, it doesn't work anymore. And it explodes like this bottle of stress relief lotion. Just when things were going great, your anxiety got back right into the game.

But there are definitely other tips for coping with anxiety in the moment. Don't feel hopeless, even if your stress relief lotion shatters. Never allow your anxiety to control your life, no matter how hard it is!

When You Can't Explain Why You're Feeling Anxious

From the memes only people with anxiety will understand, this one couldn't be any more accurate. People always ask me, "What are you so anxious about?" There's actually no solid explanation for that question. Anxiety just happens. It comes and goes whenever it feels like it. It comes during moments like watching TV and even when I'm out partying.

So, whenever someone asks someone why they have anxiety... no answer. Even my anxieties have anxiety. Just like what the woman is saying in the meme; it all doesn't make sense.

Are your friends really your friends?

Wait... are your friends really your friends? That's probably what your anxiety tells you constantly whenever you're hanging out with them. It'll put things like "they hate you" into you mind, trying to make you believe that your friends aren't your true friends and they pretty much despise you.

You start jumping to conclusions and thinking about the past where you and your friend got into a fight. And while your anxiety is throwing reasons after reasons at you, you sit there gawking and feeling super suspicious about your friends. And your friends have no clue what's going through your mind.

Immediately Jumping to Conclusions About Anything and Everything

Lastly, from the funniest memes only people with anxiety will understand is jumping to conclusions about literally everything. The smallest incident can occur and your anxiety will fill your mind with endless possibilities, making you overthink more than necessary. In fact, there is no reason for you to overthink about anything.

Sometimes, you don't choose to overthink, it's your anxiety guiding you into that path. There are even times when the last conclusion is led up to the craziest thought, and you weren't able to unsee it. Don't let your anxiety have the ability to fill your mind with those thoughts. There are ways you can stop yourself from overthinking.
