One night a man met a god. The god told him that great things were going to happen to him. He was going to have the opportunity to acquire a great fortune, attain an important position in society, and marry a beautiful wife. The man had been waiting his whole life for this strange promise, and nothing had happened. He spent his life in poverty and died alone of old age. When he died, he saw the god again and said to him, "You promised to give me wealth, high social status, and a beautiful wife. I have waited all my life for nothing."

The fairy replied, "I never said that. I only promised you opportunities for wealth, a respectable position in society, and a beautiful wife, and you have let them pass you by. ' The man was puzzled. "I don't know what you mean," he said. The fairy replied, "Do you remember once you had a great idea, but you didn't take action because you were afraid to try it for fear of failure?" The man nodded.

The god continued, "Because you didn't act, the idea was thought of years later by another man, who did it without fear and became the richest man in the country. And, as you remember, there was a big earthquake that destroyed most of the houses in the city, and thousands of people were trapped in their collapsed houses. You have a chance to help save the lives of those who are still alive, but you are afraid that thieves will rob your house while you are away, and you use this as an excuse to ignore those who need your help and just stay in your house." The man nodded sheepishly.

The fairy said: "That is your chance to save hundreds of people, and that chance will bring you great honor and glory in the city!"

"And," continued the Fairy, "do you remember that there was a beautiful woman with dark hair whom you were so strongly attracted to, that you never liked a woman so much, nor have you met another woman so fine since. But you think she's unlikely to like you, much less agree to marry you, and you let her slip away for fear of rejection.

The man nodded again, this time with tears in his eyes.

The fairy said, "My friend, it is she! She would have been your wife. You would have had beautiful children, and with her, you would have had so much joy in your life. '

Yes, we are surrounded by opportunities every day, including opportunities for love. But like the man in the story, we often stop because of fear, and the opportunity slips away.

But we have one advantage over the man in the story: we're alive. We can seize those opportunities from now on, and we can start to create our own.

If they do not create opportunities, then it is likely to be buried by society. So we should be good at creating, and seizing the opportunity, opportunity is the same for everyone.

Bai Juyi, a great poet in the Tang Dynasty, was already talented and knowledgeable before he became famous, but he was still unknown.

Bai Juyi was first involved in Changan, because he did not have a reputation, so he wanted to create an opportunity for himself, so he volunteered for the social celebrities at that time. Hearing this, a man named Bai Juyi suddenly sneered: "Chang 'an is so expensive that it is not easy to live here!"

But when he finished reading Bai Juyi's song "Fu To the Ancient Grass farewell", the evaluation of Bai Juyi is very different, as soon as he saw the first two sentences: "From the grass on the original, a year old withered glory." Feel very have taste, read "wildfire burn endless, spring breeze blows again", clap clap exclamation, sigh a way: "have such talent, White House is easy!" Therefore, the bai jury immediately summoned him and strongly recommended him, which soon made bai just famous in the capital Chang 'an and firmly established himself. We can see that opportunities are created and seized by ourselves.

But too many people spend their whole lives waiting for the perfect opportunity to come to them so they can have their moment of glory.

Until they realize that every opportunity belongs to those who seek it, then it's too late!

Opportunities don't just come to you waiting for them. "If you can't see an opportunity, make it," Smiles said.

The door of opportunity depends on your strength to open, so keep trying every day, and be confident and interested in your work.

Remember: opportunities don't come by waiting. You have to go for them!

Fifteen-year-old Henry borrowed $0.25 from his brother and placed a small print AD in a newspaper: Conscientious, hardworking boy Wanted job. He was soon hired by the famous Bidavel company. He began to work as a waiter with a small salary. The work was complicated and intense, but he always smiled and did his best to help others in their work. Later, Henry by the chairman of the board of love and financial support, and because of the establishment of the iron factory become a multimillionaire. () His friend Carnegie, the steel magnate, praised him in his autobiography, saying, "Henry thus automatically and actively created opportunities to develop his career."

Opportunity favors the willing mind, it only pays attention to the prepared mind, it only favors those who know how to pursue it, and it only favors the doer with an ideal. If you are full of food, have no intention, have adversity on pessimistic, frustrated, so, the opportunity will not come to visit. "Since ancient times, a talented man has suffered more than a rich man." "The best opportunity will not come, hard work wins the day." These lines show how important it is to seize and seek opportunities in our life
