Reasons Why You Should Smoke Weed Daily
Speaking as a qualified stoner, there are many reasons why you should smoke weed daily. Here are the best excuses-erm, reasons, you should remind yourself about.
"Hey, hey, hey, hey. Smoke weed everyday." — Snoop Dogg
I remember hearing "The Next Episode" by Snoop Dogg the first time, and hearing that phrase punctuate the song's ending. It was a simple song lyric, but a powerful one. As a kid who eventually turned into a raver known for their love of cannabis, I can honestly say that's a great reminder to add to a song.
Despite all the anti-marijuana propaganda spread by the government and shitty movies like Reefer Madness, there are many good reasons why you should smoke weed daily. Here are some that I've personally noticed in my time as a stoner.
It relaxes you.
Stress can kill you, and many coping mechanisms we use to curb stress just aren't enough. There's a lot of evidence showing that stress can cause strokes, heart attacks, as well as certain forms of cancer.
Cannabis has CBD, which has been scientifically linked to relaxation and lowered levels of anxiety. If you're stressed or prone to panic attacks, one of the best reasons why you should smoke weed daily is the fact that it can help you calm down.
THC also has been shown to have many medical benefits for people suffering from anxiety, including improving one's mood. Between both THC and CBD, you're looking at a lot of emotional benefits to marijuana use.
Around 25 percent of all people experience anxiety or depression at any given point. If we all smoke weed, we'd be a lot better off.
Weed, unlike cigarettes, won't give you cancer.
Another one of the reasons why you should smoke weed daily is the fact that it won't cause you cancer. Cigarette smokers who switched to weed were able to kick the cancer-causing habit. Additionally, studies showed that cannabis smoke doesn't cause lung cancer — unlike its legal counterparts.
If you're looking to stop your nicotine habit, a cannabis alternative might be just what the doctor ordered.
Cannabis also can help improve focus at work for certain people.
Admittedly, this is only one of the reasons why you should smoke weed daily if you don't totally zone out during your smoke sessions. I've known plenty of stoners who just can't function on weed — at all.
However, there are a lot of studies that show that people with ADD or ADHD may have an easier time concentrating if they use medical marijuana. Personally, I've found this to be true for myself, and I'm proud to say I'm a very productive stoner.
If you see cannabis working for you as a focus aid, why deny yourself that benefit? Smoke it every day.
It's also a great pain reliever.
I don't need to say why this is one of the best reasons why you should smoke marijuana daily if you suffer from chronic pain. Cannabis has been strongly proven to be an excellent pain reliever — and that's why it's given to people who suffer from debilitating diseases.
Even if it's something like regular migraines, there's no reason why you shouldn't curb that ache with some weed.
Smoking weed daily can also help you connect with others.
I'm not sure if I'm the only one who's felt this way, but using drugs has definitely been the source of some of the greatest connections I've ever made. My stoner friends are some of the closest friendships I have — and I never would have met them if it wasn't for my love of drugs.
For me, one of the reasons why you should smoke weed daily involves the friendships you make when you do it. I don't know where I'd be without my favorite party friends by my side.
Smoking weed is fun.
Look, I could wax poetic about how medical marijuana is good for everyone, but at the end of the day, that's not what draws most people to weed.
The reason why most people will smoke weed on a regular basis is the fact that it's fun. It bonds you with friends, or just gets you giddy enough to enjoy trippy books.
If you think about it, that's one of the best reasons why you should smoke weed daily. We're only on this earth once, so why shouldn't we do whatever we want to do, as long as it hurts no one? Smoking pot hurts no one, and it's fun.
At the end of the day, people can try to control you and tell you how to live your life all they want. However, they're not you. They aren't going to be the 70-year-old who looks back and wonders why they didn't smoke pot and live it up when they were younger — you are.
So, go ahead and light up. Carpe diem, if you so choose.
