What lines are found in environments conformed out of all demarcation?

What line separates the

Rumble of the wheels

From the

Howl of the wolves?

_

Can you find it

Here

In the endless prefabrication?

Premade markers of

False prosperity ,

Same roofs over

Same walls enclosing

Same dreams of a

Dreamless life.

_

Can you find it

In the conformity of

Expectation?

_

Can you hear the

Howling wolves

In the

Rumbling wheels ,

Through endless identical streets

Passing you by?

_

Can you hear it now?

That's how I felt growing up, like being closed in but in an open space. Open spaces in the city were few unless you lived near a park like I did and yet, even in that park, the view of the apartment where I grew up was always in sight. There was no escape unless I closed my eyes and fantasized.
