Young and Old
What happens when you can't go back and there's no way forward?

When we met, we were young.
Not as young as some, but young enough.
We made our vows as many do.
Well intentioned to see it through.
In sickness and health, rich or poor…until death.
But we were young and did not know then what we now know.
How could we expect when we were no longer as young, that we’d grow?
Our interests, our laughter, all such great strengths.
But experience and wisdom changes things.
Older, with mystery aside, our rearview mirror obscure.
Difficult to see a way forward when there’s no way back.
