You were supposed to come back.

You were supposed to drop everything,

And tell me you love me.

You were supposed to be

My knight and shining armor.

But you weren’t.

You broke my heart,

Like you were throwing out trash.

You weren’t the angel

You promised.

I let you go,

Hoping you would fight

Tooth and nail,

To get the pleasure of standing

By my side.

You left me alone,

To face the cruel world.

I never thought you would

Because,

You were supposed to come back.

Why haven't you come back?

Please tell me you will.
