You Stayed

You Never Went Away

I love you

I love you because you loved me first

I love you because you found the strong person hiding within me

I love you because you supported me after I let myself down

I love you because you stood there and you never went away

Writing fulfills my need for intellectual stimulus, emotional release, and soothing the bruises of the day.

I’m an open book. I’m not afraid to show my face or speak my mind
