You're my light,

Sunny days, fluffy clouds,

Under a crisp white sheet you're all I see,

Blinding bright.

You're my darkness,

Moonless sky, blackout cave,

Pulling down into the ocean depth,

Black hole with no escape.

You're my warmth,

Hot Chocolate, wood burning fire,

No blanket matches your arms,

Passion ablaze at a single touch.

You're my chill,

Frosted steel, numb fingers,

Slowly solidifying glacial heart,

Freeze, thaw, repeat.

You're my happiness,

Euphoric bubble, puppy kisses,

Two beating hearts fall in sync,

My safe place, forever and always.

You're my pain,

Damaging blow, vacant stare,

Cutting words as sharp as my blade,

My prison, now and forever.
