You

Think of me? I wish you might

I think about you every night.

I toss, I turn, I'm deprived from sleep

Thoughts of you I wish to keep

Burried deep inside my fragile heart

Where I know they will not rot.

I watch, I listen, I even care

But as to you, there's no one there.

Just another friend to call your own

To laugh with, to play with, to invite into your home.

In your arms is where I'd rather be,

Happy, simple, and carefree,

Without a doubt on my shoulder.

Every day I grow colder

Colder without you,

Colder without telling you how I feel.

Your voice shocks my heart just like an eclectic eel.

Your smile turns my stone to rubble

Evaporates all my fears

And comforts all my sorrow.

Will I have the courage tomorrow?

The courage to tell you how I feel?

I fear I won't,

I fear I'll choke,

I fear I'll put on a smile

And pretend to want to be just friends for a while.

And when I do get up the courage,

It'll be too late,

You'll be with some girl,

And she'll be in your arms

Happy, carefree, and safe from harm.
