You Are Not An Anonymuncule

A little inspiration for you all.

Let me out, let me out

I want to scream and shout

"What if the world is not ready?

What if the world feels unsteady?"

That's the risk we have to take

That's the risk we must take

"Well okay, but what if people judge?

What if people don't want to budge?"

Whether people judge, budge or stuff their faces with fudge is not the issue here

Whether people moan, groan and verbally stone us, the problem is always fear

"I am afraid.

That my words won't meet the grade or appeal

I am afraid.

That they will read and hate my random spiel"

That's a risk, I am not going to lie

There's always a chance, but, try

"Why bother trying if I could get hurt; if their words will be harmful and curt?"

Because to live, try and fail is to live well, but to live, and not try, is to fail to live

Right now, you feel your words don't matter to anyone, that they will be the source of ridicule

Right now, your words could matter to someone, anyone, even though you feel you're an anonymuncule

Even if it's a funny little rhyme you have to tell or another bloody haiku about water in a well

Water in a well

Brings refreshment to many

Crystal clear liquid

"Did you just drop a random haiku to make a point? Do you think that random haiku proves anything?"

Well, did it make you smile a little? Admit it, it did. A little smile is always better than nothing.

"You've got that right, it did make my mouth smile bright."

Well, why hold back whatever you've got to say? Why deny the world your unique form of wordplay?

Unless you're writing a dear John, to someone called Joan, and telling them and the world you're going it alone

"I think I will skirt past that bit, I don't want to even think about anyone being that shit"

Good, I agree! You see, words are powerful and have meaning, they can be uplifting and encouraging, but also demeaning

When you use your words carefully, whether it's delivering hard truths or offering beautiful word-based proofs

Words have strong power

Other's negativity doesn't matter

Roll away your anxieties

Decide to face your realities

Stand up tall and take a deep breath

Hold your head up high

And don't worry about the reply

Value the opportunity you have to express yourself

Empty your heart, your experience is better than wealth

People may like what you say, people might hate it

Only way to find out, though, is to do it and not quit

Weary though the mere idea may make you think or feel

Each one of us has value, words can help people heal

Reach into your soul, and let the words take control
