Words bite, sometimes leaving marks

And hearts hurt, broken and torn apart.

You give and take but feelings change The world turns nothing stays the same

We cry and beg we scream and ache

Payments for your life’s mistakes.

It’s all been spent, there is no more,

Your life in boxes at the door.

And you wanna run away hide away Save your face.

You wanna hide the hurt save your pride find a space,

you never shared with them before.

A place your safe dont wanna hurt anymore.

You tell yourself that you’re ok

lose yourself in the day

Tasks that keep your mind off them

Dont crawl down that road again

Don’t surrender to the thought

you had it all and just got caught up in the chaos and trials of life

No one cares, you need a knife to

cut away the memories that hold you down

that remind you when you wore a crown

on that pedestal that held your fate.

Sent you falling on your face.

You never deserved to be in that place.

You’re done just go move on.
