Wondering the Possibilities
Palindrome Poetry (also known as Mirrored Poetry)
It seemed she was destined to be alone
She questioned life regarding her existence
She needed a life companion
Though her spirits lifted
She felt broken and shattered
In her heart
Were tidal waves
In her mind
Wondering the possibilities
She started her journey
Her mind was made up
She had to go in search of her soulmate

Palindrome Poetry (also known as Mirrored Poetry), isย a poem that reads the same forward or backwards. Like a folded sheet of paper or a perfect reflection, a palindrome depends on symmetry.
Palindrome poetry starts with an initial poem and then hinges on a line that usually repeats directly in the middle of the poem before working through the rest of the lines in reverse order.
When reversed, the poem would still make sense but the meaning would be different.

Yes Iโve read this one before! Just read again. Cool. ๐
Oh wow, what a fantastic style of poetry. And the lines in her heart, in her mind were tidal waves
Sentimental one ๐๐!
This is verrrrry well done ! I donโt remember reading it before but I can see that I have liked it, so I must have โจ๐๏ธโค๏ธ How lovely to experience again for the โfirstโ time!
Dharrsheena, this was another great one! I almost feel like you're my creative writing teacher sometimes because you always teach me about all these different types of poems, writing techniques and skills! It was almost haunting how perfectly this lined up forwards and backwards. I know this is a relatively common poem but usually the backwards version isn't as impactful as the forwards one. Great work overall! ๐
Wow, this was so cool. I know what Iโm gonna try next! The way the emotions hit differently from the initial to the mirrored version, was remarkable. Such cool line lengths, too; they really added to the way I read and experienced them. The emotions were so raw, so real, and it seems to me that you chose the optimal form and style for it. ๐ฅน๐
I felt the emptiness feeling. Falling in love does not define our life . Very engaging poem
This was super cool and well crafted!

This is lovely, brilliant, and tragic at the same time (especially the last line when it's reversed!) Truly love this. Excellent work!
This is beautiful! It mustโve taken a lot of thought to write this type of poem.
I love that you always try new things, new styles, new ideas! This was beautiful ;)
Excellent poem- thank you for sharing!
Lovely , love the words used. Let love come to you naturally, and the shattered pieces just unite together beautifully into a beautiful heart of gold โค๏ธ๐๐ฝ

I feel like there is a suggestion of wandering in the wondering. I really enjoyed this.
I had never heard of palindrome poetry. This was awesome! Well done.
Loved this! I could feel the emotion as I read it! I had never heard of this kind of poem. Thanks for teaching me something new! โค๏ธ
Thatโs actually pretty cool. I write poetry too but Iโve never tackled that kind before. I loved to!
