Woman by the Sea

Into the Unknown

Beneath the evergreen forests

Even beyond the urban lights

A lady roams the streets

To find her objective

No time for small talk

Eye contact lasts a second

Lavender perfumes

Suit of blue silk

To the coast she walked to

Waiting by the shores

Her dull eyes reflect the ocean

Blue highlights and orange tints

The ego of humanity worn her

Calls of the sea keep her alive

Her senses tingle

As the water rapidly split

Into a catacomb of dry paths

The woman paced

Refusing to turn around

Pride and courage as company

Into the unknown

She walked into

The future uncertain

Old life worth leaving

Repetition and boredom

Awaited her away from the unknown

So toward the sea she went
