Will You Still

A Poem

Will you still love me

When my skin runs dry

When my mind goes feeble

When I can’t sleep at night

Can you see the stars in my eyes

Rip me open and look inside

Hold my hand and read my mind

I can see right through your walls

But where are the breaks in mine

Holding you close and growing weaker

Watching the gleam in you

Can you see mine too

Will you still feel me

When I sit quietly

When the trauma shuts me

When I can’t dream

But I still dream of you
