Evolution of the Mind

That which we cannot

See or touch

Clashes for the upper hand

Just like concrete

Cracking as the earth controls it

Should we just accept the pain

In the cracks ripped through our minds

By oppression

Does the world even need to be changed

Wouldn't it follow that the mind

Would try to evolve from pain

Just like the body

We can't stop evolution of the body

So we can't stop evolution of the mind

Maybe the world will be changed

At its own pace

Maybe the passion to change it

Is evolution brewing in the pain

A wildflower rising in a crack in concrete
