Why Do We Die?

Shakespeare Will Never Die

Because we are born

because our parents may have loved

Some die because they have someone to bury

something to leave, something to fill

Others die because they have lived enough

as if dying was like living

We have to live before we can die

as if dying was like denying

Nonetheless we have to die

not as much as we have to live

as if living was like dying

We always have something to die for

lovers die all the time

as if loving was like dying

some love to die

others die to love

some love until they die

others die because they cannot love

Why do we die?

Because everything dies

everyone dies

Shakespeare will never die

as long as To die to sleep

to sleep perchance to dream

ay there’s the rub

for in this sleep of death

what dreams may come

is cited by someone somewhere

in the middle of the night

as part of a dream before the long sleep

as we stop dreaming of everything
