Two hearts entwined,

Fate brought them together,

In a love so pure and divine,

Forever they'd treasure.

But a silly misunderstanding,

Tore them apart,

Leaving them both heartbroken and demanding,

A brand new start.

Memories of their love,

Haunt them every day,

Wishing they could go back,

To a love that wouldn't stray.

The pain is too much to bear,

The hurt runs deep,

They both sit and stare,

At the promises they couldn't keep.

They say time will heal,

But the wounds are still raw,

The love they once had,

Feels like it's gone forever more.

They both cry themselves to sleep,

Hoping for a chance,

To make things right,

And forget about this circumstance.

But alas, it's too late,

The love they once shared,

Is now just a distant fate,

A love that they both have scared.

Two hearts that once beat as one,

Now forever apart,

A love that could have been undone,

By a silly misunderstanding at the start.
