Whispers in a stairwell in Berlin

Complete portrait of a friend

Notes when I started writing this in Berlin

The back of her head

softly

slightly wavy

covering her mind

a sea of hair blowing in the wind

starring in the hopes that they´ll reveal

just a touch

of what you still want to know

but just as with the ocean

you might never find

what really lies below

running

looking

never the final resolve

like a whirlewind

uncatchable

unbound

and always free

to go where ever she´d want to be

and fall in love with whatever

she may want to see

sealed lips hiding away

the shinning white

but never covering the truth inside

honest thoughts shamelessly revealed

by the simple raise of an eyebrow

torturing the secrets that remain

it´s like her love for life

reflects in her eyes

every color represented

in it´s own little

perfect spot

from calming brown

to hidden blue

a faint sense of wise grey

and shining curious green

I´m sure I knew her

unintentional showgirl

always going with the flow girl

big city girl

pretty girl

dancing in her nightgown

life of the party

downtown

always carelessness

her crown

a smiley face

sometimes a

five second frown

not ever

to be brought down

incredibly sound

in not being

homebound

so much adour

for everything

she found around

excitedly squicking

wheezing

out loud

freedom

way beyond any count

her life

a never ending

rollercoaster ride

in a glass elivator

9 storeys above ground.

Tired feet resting

oddly comfortably

on soft,

cool concrete

whispers in the stairwell

unveiling something other

than I knew so well

a single night

not covering who she is

same eyes

maybe a touch

more grey

more wise

but something behind them

different

unfamiliar

but sincere

and finally

you

crystal clear

the things you say

same voice

such a different word-choice

cautiously and silently

following every sound

mesmerized

by the new person

I seem to have found.

Words

feelings

convictions

thoughts

and fears

a barrier disappears

hooked

seeing things

where I never

nearly looked

anything

everything

reveiling

revealing

connecting

dividing

noise and smoke

unaware heart

set to envoke

a short mention

your thoughts

of stars

within seconds

shooting for the moon

landing somewhere

between jupiter and mars

prejudice perceptions transposed

sublime comments composed

as if there was

nothing else

read it somewhere

never sure where

glowing eyes

passion in your voice

unintentional

unnoticed

unstoppable

a smile

bigger than a child

racing a truck full of ice

and after

everything

your stars

for a moment

disappeared

the thought

of someone watching

reappeared

of course

just as feared

what else could it be

complete insanity

impossibly ever clarified

everything is gone

eyes that knew

where they belong

a smile

that would´ve won

indifference never sounded

so wrong

turning off the light

on the other side

blowing in the wind

a sea of hair

covering your mind

hands reaching

after the bright

tapping in the dark

impossibly ever reaching

anything they might

want to find

echoing

all the way

from that stairwell

in Berlin

we for ever leave behind.
