As the snow falls like rain without a sound

Tall trees shiver pale

This is where winter kisses the face of the ground

Among this powder forest I am found

Walking along an unseen trail

As the snow falls like rain without a sound

I stop to listen and look all around

I see a blanketed dale

This is where winter kisses the face of the ground

My feet are perched upon a snowy mound

Like an owl upon a rail

As the snow falls like rain without a sound

In awe I spin ‘round and ‘round

The breeze sways pines like rippling sails

This is where winter kisses the face of the ground

Now I am free and unbound

Welcoming winter with avail

As the snow falls like rain without a sound

Here, where winter kisses the face of the ground
