Where to Go

The fear among us is commonplace.

The fear among us is commonplace

Like a secret that is undisclosedSame feeling as seeing a carcass

Something we are taught to be disposedFeelings can’t just fucking be ignoredIt is an arrogance not unknownWith it being so unjustifiedI will try not to ignore my own

It is an ever running arms raceWith each new idea we are floored

But the footsteps aren’t with any graceAnd everything we make is a sword

We try to cut through death’s draining cord

All is done to keep atop their throne

And they will use their land’s holy lord

When they make the followers their own

An attack to come from our birthplace

This disaster we cannot affordAll there is to do is hope and braceOur wondrous ship that we stand aboard

Moves on a narrow path toward

A place with our very own headstoneMany already flew overboardTo escape the unpleasant reward

Galaxies and planets unexploredAn escape from those I can't dethroneAble to leave on my own accordFor my hopelessness must I atone?
