When Your Ring Turns Brass

Lyrical’s Poem

Lyrical’s at the fair.

When your ring turns brass

Have you ever worn the color out of an old petticoat

Or jumped in a pool of water and watched the color fade out of the sold red suit

You better slow down

Don't run so fast

The color won't last

Have you ever played out in the sun, for so long your eyes were fade

Or broken the glasses that made them pop

You better slow down

Don't run so fast

The color won't last

Have you ever worn the sole out of those old black boots

Or stepped through mud in those pretty velvet heels

You better slow down

Don't run so fast

The color won't last

Have you ever went to the fair on the old rusty ride

Or spilt water on a bike and watched the old thing rust

You better slow down

Don't run so fast

The color won't last

HAve you ever wore a ring and watch the black fade to brown

Or watched your finger turn green from that yellow diamond ring

And when your ring turns brass

I'll be there to slow you down

So the color will last
