Vision Board Poems: Rest

Pull the heavy duvet over your shoulders and rest like the soft cotton on your skin.

Smell the cold air rush in bursts through your window, mingled with the scent of coffee being prepared by hands that love you.

Taste the toothpaste on that person's breath as they lean down to kiss you, the promise of caffeine and cacao only a side table away...

Hear the morning jazz trickle in from the living room that beckons life

Watch it fade to dark as you close your eyes and drift away into happy dreams, knowing it will all be waiting there for you when you get up.
