The roller coaster starts slowly Dragging up the ramp Approaching an uncertain sky
Closer and closer to the peak we rise
And I scrunch up with terror and anticipation
We stop for a moment at the peak before we drop And he winds his fingers through mine
We fly down the ramp and he raises his hands My own still entangled with his
And instead of terror I let out a laugh
For the first time I embrace the fall and raise my other hand
Thankful that someone showed me how to Enjoy the ride
