There once was a storm First it brought sweet water And filled the soul of the wildflower
The wildflower danced again Sang again And dreamed again
Her dances so beautiful Her revelries so mellifluous Her dreams so vibrant
The storm grew comfortable And poured out it’s burdens on the wildflower
But the wildflower’s roots were deep So the storm poured harder
Slowly the wildflower’s petals dulled Her stem shrugged And her roots grew loose
The wildflower cowered in the dirt to escape the storm Unsure where the rain ended and where her tears began
The storm whaled mercilessly with raging fury and filled the flower’s once wild soul
With acid
