When Love Came First But Took A While

Marinated Maestro. Simmered Sweetness.

You are summer sun and easy to love.

Dualistic principles

meant we were destined to meet.

Not my first blind date.

Third time lucky don’t look like this

and

I’m all in as far as investment goes.

Exhausted energies

a description that warrants modification.

I have traveled every emotion-highway there is

and built new ones.

I wanted better surroundings

ambiance

spice tea

waxing moon to control the tides

within me within you.

Chanted voices of the ancients

filtering through frustration as I wept.

It had been three excruciating days

yet you held your own.

Move on your time.

Promised butterfly flutters past cheek

and breeze-filled sails.

You are a love emerging

never before seen.

Seven pounds two and a half ounces of

ready to hold my heart in entirety

and change this world forever.

I understood your cries,

gasps at earliest manhood,

unsteady and frail after crossing

my body bridge between realms of life and un-life.

All who make the journey shine.

Wet and worthy of all blessings.

Infinite phenomena compression attempts

into one body.

Impossible?

Hmmm...

Still

I could watch all day since

you are summer sun and easy to love.
