WHAT YOU CHOSE...?

Poetry

By waqar jameelPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

What you chose my human pal?

You're just an outcome of a nature's call;

You don't choose the egg and sperm,

That combine to give you, your life term;

You don't choose your mom and dad,

Nor you choose if you are girl or lad;

You don't choose your place of birth,

Nor you choose your time of death;

You don't choose your religion and race,

Nor you choose the features of your face;

You don't choose your clan and kin,

Nor you choose the colour of your skin;

You don't choose your natal tongue,

Nor you choose the air going into your lung;

When you don't choose even your name,

Choosing to hate is simply shame;

Black or white, or yellow or brown,

The blood is red you human clown;

Love is bliss, hatred is curse,

When humanity fails, it leads to worse...
