**
Dressed up in daring
with a smile on her face
Her past was despairing
so, she had it erased
Fed-up with the what-if's
that only got in the way
Like a crime with no prints
she made her get away
A souped-up GTO
blacked out, with chrome rims
and a little black dress, to forget about him
Her future is brighter than
the sun after an eclipse
She's sporting a tan
and red gloss on her lips
Her new attitude
the devil may care
And she had that tattooed
on her neckline, up under her hair
With a new lease on her life
and the wind covering her tracks
She left it behind
and she's not looking back

Soooo inspirational and powerful! Loved your poem!
The devil may indeed care, assuming he's the one you left behind. But it won't do him any good. You've got this, Kelli! BTW, beautifully expressed in your poem.
I love your character!!! Good for her.
