When did it all begin
What set the tone
For the world to ask
What’s going on
Love your neighbor
Love your friend
Connection is broken
We must begin again
People in glass houses
Should not throw stones
We come to ask what’s going on
There are lessons come see
What shall it be either bound or free
Teach the children right from wrong
Listen as they ask what’s going on
We must take a moment stop and think
The whole of humanity is on the brink
Through our history lessons hold sway
Don’t let the hatred wash logic away
As time still rolls on we ask what’s going on
We must revisit all of what we have learned
Our world is on a course to crash and burn
The sound of unity must become our chorus
Come let us set aside all of our differences
That we we come to see what’s in store for us
The meek the weak and even the strong
Our whole world is asking what’s going on
The sun is setting waiting for the tide to turn
Truth must be the dogma of our battle cry
Like the tree we must prune the tainted fruit
For the soil is we shall give life to the roots
Let us be careful as we aim and throw stones
In this hour as we ask what’s going on
