what isn't broken

isn't an easy fix

"blue watcher" jason alan 2026 acrylic on canvass 8x10"

exposure and observation

waiting for a closed door to open

know what isn't spoken

and don't speak before then

what isn't broken isn't an easy fix

it's a trap where peace is stolen

used as bait

divesting a stake in the game

walk away while staying in the same place

nowhere else to hide or go

nothing but a box of rocks in a glass home

he won't stop to think about visibility

unaware of the world outside

seeing through the walls he hides behind

patient and selectively trying to explain

choosing who gets validation

too late to see the truth

and take the psyche back from the enemy

following the trail to the cold end

this is how and this is where

it becomes clear

when the last tin soldier says

if someone has to lose

nobody can win
