What is Love?

Understood

By Colleen WaltersPublished 6 days ago Updated 6 days ago 1 min read

Here’s what the Bible tells us….

“Storge”- affection. Covers an array of loves.

“Philia”-friendship. It is love dismissed.

“Eros”-romantic. Different than friendship, lovers.

“Agape”- the unconditional love of God for us.

C. S. Lewis describes these different kinds of love in detail in “ Four Types of Love”.

“And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”

‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭13‬:‭13‬ ‭
