What colour is the world?

In her there is red

In the way she dances in ruby

In the way she loves in scarlet

In the way she yells in crimson

In the way she flusters in blush

She is red.

In her there is blue

In the way she breathes in cerulean

In the way she sings in cobalt

In the way she sleeps in midnight

In the way she cries in indigo

She is blue.

In her there is green

In the way she skips in chartreuse

In the way she cares in olive

In the way she cleans in pine

In the way she bristles in emerald

She is green.

In her there is yellow

In the way she laughs in bumblebee

In the way she cooks in butter

In the way she trusts in gold

In the way she meditates in canary

She is yellow.

In her there is white

In the way she dedicates herself

In the way she peace-keeps

In the way she stays innocent

In the way she remains naïve

She is white.

In her there is black

In the way she oppresses herself

In the way she sees herself

In the way she doubts

In the way she remains cautious

She is black.

She sees the world in colour

She sees herself in grey

What colour is she to them?

What colour do they see themselves?
