The balance shifted
As the moon set
Calming the swells
And the movement of the ocean
As the sun peaked
Over the colored horizon,
Reflecting its beauty
In the serene ocean,
A brilliance
Sought after during
The cold days
Of the long winter,
The heat bringing new growth
To a world in need
A humanity in danger
Of succumbing to the bleak
The gray moments
Of the hardened winter-
The freeze that was spoken of
Before it's settling,
But never believed
And never prepared for-
The same fear
Circled the return
Of the sun-
Or its lack of.
But the world awoke
That morning to find
The rays blinding,
Touching each corner
Of the world
And reminding all
Of the possibility of tomorrow,
If we only allows ourselves
To believe it will come.
