we're only gonna die

"cactus jack" from jason alan 2026 acrylic on canvas 8x10"

on the menu

identities consumed

isolation by design

tribalistic separation

because of us and them

true nature denied

civilization without humanity

nothing close to civilized

economically justified by

multiplying the root of evil

systemic cultivation of synthetic imitation

easy conquest adds up

fractured communication

crying for water from dry wells

spanning the divide

cutting the cloth

with fringes stripped

from the fabric of the wild

societal suicide monetized

sold as progress for the rife

pennies on the dime

dimed on the hard time

a human zoo aggressively euthanized

die or be unreal, or spared

only to a life of exile

equally criminalized

owning dimensional dismission

all else is stolen or lost

translating polotics in the lobby

while souls consumed waiting

refined for combustion internalized

extant and optimized

militarilly-existentially-complex

financed against the quick

thought-extinction subsidized

taxed to finance the catastrophic

rather than an easy fix

this is always

this is persistent

this is amorally relentless

and this is how we're only gonna die

together

no place to hide
