water under the bridge
[the Tao that can be told is not the eternal Tao]

a poem inspired by the Tao Te Ching
______________________________________
i am a force of nature
beyond control
free-flowing and powerful
guided by the slow pull of gravity
all i demand is truth
depth for roots to grow
struggle under the pressure
or float on easy grace
each wave
all the drops of rain
pouring into those places
most of us fear to go
but i am never afraid to change
i am mutable
and so, i am unstoppable
and i shape the entire world
i mean so many things
to so many different people
serene and sorrowful
sybaritic, supercilious, and sublunar
stratospheric, steamy, stentorian
salubrious, sybilline
universal
known by all
believed by some
impossible to be told
