Oh, Keeper of my heart and giver of luminous light,

How many nights will you pause, loitering, observing, while I wade upon the shore. Adding my salty teardrops to the raging sea.

How many times must I declare untrue, the pull of your affection and the obvious effect it has on me.

How long until you save me from my fateful destiny, finally drawing me into your atmosphere. When can I openly surrender to your sheer intensity, and the gentle wanting of your gravity.

I’m so tired of counting sand here, stranded, waiting on the shore. I’ve been collecting shells, like broken hearts and dreams. Displayed like starfish on the sand, in an attempt to match your glow, the celestial beauty of your majesty.

Until at last, I’m lost in your orbit, I will draw near to your shores, awaiting your return after dark to make me yours.

Your shooting star 💫 ❤️
