In realms unknown, my spirit yearns to roam,
Where whispers of curiosity find their home.
Through verdant valleys and untrodden trails,
Where secrets hide, and adventure prevails.
The stars, they beckon with celestial might,
Guiding me forth into the velvety night.
Uncharted waters, a siren's call I heed,
To satiate this hunger, this insatiable need.
With open eyes, I witness wonders untold,
Stories unravel, mysteries unfold.
Through ancient forests, I wander free,
Embracing the vastness of this world's tapestry.
For in my heart, an explorer resides,
Seeking the answers the universe hides.
And so, I embark, unafraid and bold,
In pursuit of truths yet to be told.

Spectating
I can't imagine dying like this, in a place like this; on a cold, dirty pavement with rush hour traffic screaming by and a crowd looking on while paramedics struggle to find space to move. Who could? Deep down we all think there should be a reason, a moment of clarity... or a family presence, at least. For this man, this boy, the rail thin woman lighting a cigarette in a faux fur jacket will have to do - she's been here since the start, her eyes tracking the movement of my shoulders as we fight to keep him on the right side of the line.
