Walk Away, Walkway

Trepidation's in your steps

But still you never stray.

Why do you take that path?

It's a walk away, walkway.

Bars are meant to define

The captivity you've deemed to pace.

Yet the mind, seemingly free,

Steps in tune with adamancy's place.

W a l k a w a y echoes in a distant ethereal;

Between sounded scrapes of foot and ground, it cancels.

The walkway is now cluttered with same-step litter

And wayside prints so deep it stencils.

It's a walk away, walkway.

Why do you take that path?

W a l k a w a y

W a l k a w a y

W a l k a w a y
