She left her emotions with the liars and the robbers who thought it fit to dive into oceans of heartbreak that ached to be patched and boarded up with authentic love--nothing fake.

They became caught up in her seas and kept the depths of her drenched in their selfishness but never questioned the gentleness in which she allowed them in.

Forever trusting and believing that this one wouldn't be deceiving, the goddess foolishly gave her seas to unworthy voyagers only seeking to retrieve nothing more than the surface value--her gold, her treasure.

So stands collected a new endeavor. Another failure.

But alas, another adventure elapsed and if love's an epic by nature then the side characters the goddess inevitably had to wager her heart against should have been an indication that the real tragic hero would soon be entering the arena, blessed by Athena; and all the spiritual anomalies we tend to send our thanks and pleas when Enough hasn't quite had enough and even Pain is on his knees.

Should young Perseus appear? Perhaps. If just a bit earlier by chance it may have been a match.

For that, however, it was too late.

And it was a beautiful tragedy indeed to see the Fate that the goddess would leave. It was a transformation of the highest order, meant to protect her waters; meant to keep safe her borders; meant to quiet the most boastful of man who thought it clever enough to harm her feminine aura.

It was a shot from a gun; a swift swing of a sword; a warrior's warning--a Gorgon.

If love would come it wouldn't be without scorning.

If love could come you wouldn't see a Medusa mourning.
