I wish I had something meaningful to say
Something of substance
Of character
But I have nothing to share
Except my desire to create
I wish to be more
More than I am
More than everything I ever thought possible
Yet here I am,
Unable to do the bare minimum
It’s not laziness
But circumstance
And a lack of talent
And that is my pain
That is my flaw
Maybe one day I’ll have something to say
Something of value
Something meaningful
But until then
I’ll wait
Who knows if the time will ever come
But all I can do is wait and hope
