Dear Illness,

You've cause me nothing but pain

you are the reason I struggle

why I'm unreliable

and why I feel alone

I'm now a burden

a complication

a nuisance

when I used to be so much more

when I could've been so much more

You are always with me

but I wish to be rid of you

I never asked for this

I never asked for you

You've dealt your blow

You don't need to stick around to see how long I stay down

I wish we could cut ties

I wish we could say goodbye

There's nothing I'd want more
