Waning light
The musings of a classical poet watching the eclipse
By K.D. PopielPublished 2 years ago • Updated 2 years ago • 1 min read

Eventually, all will fade and wane.
Cold snows will thaw and ash remain of flame.
Like it or not, joy often ends with pain
In our lives. And yet, we strive again,
Pining for something that can we can retain.
Sun's light gets weak as darkness starts its reign.
Eventually, all will fade and wane.
