Unwanted War

and the casualties of it

By Rebecca K Published 3 years ago 1 min read

Hear me when I say I can't do this anymore

I am tired, scarred, wounded from this war

I am not broken, I still have my voice

I refuse to go to your level

Go ahead and reach for your shovel

I am over all the drama and lies

I don't have any feelings left for you

I don't even feel sorry for you

I am just done

You went to war when there was no need

You didn't even hit your target

You destroyed innocence of another

And you only have yourself to blame

The outcome of this unwanted war

is the price you will pay

witness your path of destruction

I have nothing left to say
