Hidden behind our eyes are the thoughts we are terrified to share.
Like trees hidden in a forest, they can be plainly seen; but never noticed.
Spoken words flow freely forth as a spring of water giving life to some and drowning others.
We dare to give breath to the voices in our head, yet allow our hearts to die.
We never give feet to our prayers, yet we curse those who wage wars.
At least they stand for something, while we continue to fall in to the realm of bystander.
We effect no change, yet pridefully believe we are important.
Assumptions we form in our minds, like roadblocks on the highway of life.
Unable to change our focus, like staring at the sun. It causes us pain, yet we dare not look away.
It’s a fear of missing what we already know is there.
Like grains of sand on the beach of life, United together making a barrier between the past and present .
The land and sea, throughout time have been divided ,overcome by the waves of life that have crashed upon them.
Reuniting is the only chance we have for survival in this wilderness we call life.
