Underwater

Dove

By Sara FursePublished 9 months ago 1 min read

She dove

And landed on the bottom

She stacked rocks on her stomach

To hold her down

The silence was profound

Closed her eyes with her hair swirling round

Breathed deep belly breaths and bubbles pushing to her eyes

She was alone and felt at peace for once

But then realized she wasn’t a fish

sad poetry
