The barbarians are at the gates,

The same as always,

Hurling themselves against the ramparts,

Hellbent on destruction.

*

The same as always,

Determined wave after determined wave,

Hellbent on destruction,

Wielding their nihilism like a battering ram.

*

Determined wave after determined wave,

Raging against the foundations,

Wielding their nihilism like a battering ram,

Brandishing double-edged words like swords.

*

Raging against the foundations,

Hurling themselves against the ramparts,

Brandishing double-edged words like swords,

The barbarians are at the gates.
