Unconnected layers

our society of multi connections

Un-connecting lives that have nothing in common.

No connection under that number, long gone.

Connecting with others, now that is my achille's heel!

Overly engaged in multi connections?

Negating the obvious would be daft

Navel gazing, basking in the sun.

Engaging in over connections, spreading our energies to the wind.

Can make us ill.

Too much of anything

Is not good for us.

Novelty can sweeten the pill.

Gorging on too much, can poison our will.

Laying on the sand,

Acknowledging my loss,

Yes, it is over.

Engaged in disconnecting, with a hand supporting my head.

Every atom of my being learning to breathe again.

Rest a while! This is only about you.

See around the bend, a ray of sunshine.

About the Creator

Jeannine Kauffmann

Poetry writer in the early morning. Poetry as a wake up call. Then later I draw lines and colours. I have a page on Instagram my art other than words although it contains words too. Titles are important to finish a piece like a full stop.
