Typical

That girl across the street doesn’t know how perfect she is.

Her red hair brings envy to fire,

A flame with no intention of dying out.

Each freckle burns itself into the universe

Without forgetting the beauty that it replaced.

I have seen her smile before, in Queens and Saints;

Same dimples, shown for an abundance of different reasons.

Do you know not the joy you bring to a joyless world?

Your happiness is contagious.

Tis no wonder you have little admirers.

No one likes to be happy anymore,

Silly girl.

You must hate this life,

This time that neglected to give you freedom

And instead gave you a list in stone to follow to others satisfaction.

It’s all physical beauty and attraction with this generation.

You don’t want to begin the process of change,

But that’s okay.

Neither do I.

Neither does any typical person.

So answer me this:

Are you a typical person?

The Ocean is magical,

And so is reading,

I find Shakespeare worth repeating. 😇

I find Shakespeare worth repeating. 😇
