There cannot be enough time
To separate the distance between me and you
I built the wall but there are cracks
And wisps of you are seeping through
The barricade is not strong enough
To hold back images of your face
And ever since you walked away
I tried everything to erase it
Still you take out the chisel now
And carve yourself into my dreams
So I break out the mortar now
And quickly try to patch the seams
There cannot be enough time
To separate the distance between me and you
I built the wall but there are cracks
And wisps of you are seeping through
I thought I could be cured
But you are imprinted on my mind
Like graffiti you have vandalized
The barrier of space and time
In desperation I want to be alone
A solitary existence is better than
One with you in it
Torturing me like no one else can
There cannot be enough time
To separate the distance between me and you
I built the wall but there are cracks
And wisps of you are seeping through
You make me remember
The harder I try to forget
And every time you breach the wall
I wish we had never met
